Honorable Shina Peller, a member of the ninth Assembly in the House of Representatives, encourages everyone to embrace love instead of hatred.
He prioritizes peace over violence and opts for goodness over evil as they observe the Easter season.
Honourable Peller, the Ayedero of Yorubaland, made this call on Sunday while congratulating Christians on the 2024 Easter celebration.
The ex-legislator emphasized that Easter represents triumph over defeat, forgiveness, love prevailing over hate, happiness outweighing sorrow, peace conquering violence, and goodness over evil.
Additionally, the businessman-turned-politician from Oke Ogun urged everyone to adopt the virtues embodied by Jesus Christ, such as peace, love, humility, forgiveness, tolerance, patience, and charity.
Similarly, he encouraged everyone to extend a helping hand to the less fortunate, reignite hope in those who have lost it, and positively impact the lives of others during and after the Easter period.
The statement reads; “Happy Easter to my Christian friends and fans both at home and in the diaspora. To God be the glory for witnessing the moment.
“Easter symbolizes victory over loss, forgiveness over sin, love over hatred, gain over pain, hope over hopelessness, joy over distress, belief over disbelief, peace over violence, and good over evil. So, as you celebrate,”
He encouraged Christians to embody the positive values of Easter as followers of Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him).
“let’s spread love around, reach out to the needy, put smiles on the faces of the depressed,”
He also implored Christians to keep in mind that Jesus Christ, the central figure of Easter, consistently promoted peace during his life. His example of humility, forgiveness, tolerance, charity, patience, and love for all should inspire everyone, regardless of our religious beliefs.
“Once again, I wish every one of you a fantastic Easter celebration, and May we witness many more on earth. Amen.”
Recall that Shina Peller Feeds 1000 people
The former lawmaker disclosed plans to feed over 1,000 people as a way of sowing love and the spirit of brotherhood in the holy month.
“We have made arrangements to feed one thousand people so they can understand that we are all connected based on Islam as brothers and sisters,” Peller said.
He also described the month of Ramadan as a time designed for the “maintenance of body and souls,” adding that giving to the poor and needy is a basic necessity and command from God.
Acknowledging the essence of Ramadan, the Ayedero of Yorubaland said men are created to worship God and make an impact.
“I want everyone here to keep that in mind, go home and make sure they promote unity and peace. We need peace everywhere. Peace is needed in Iseyin, Oyo state and Nigeria,” he said.
